What's Included In Your Registration

Three Day Event

Over 28 panels, workshops, interviews, and numerous book signings to choose from.  Included in registration fee.

Agent Pitches

An opportunity to pitch to an agent who is actually looking for new writers.  (Pitch session limited to 10 minutes.  Limited times slots.  First come, first served.)  Included in registration fee.

Editor Pitches

An opportunity to pitch to an acquiring editor who is actually looking for new writers.  (Pitch session limited to 10 minutes.  Limited times slots.  First come, first served.)  Included in registration fee.

Vendor Tables

Some sponsors and vendors have requested the opportunity to set up tables to display their wares to attendees.  Those wishing to do so will be accommodated.  Included in registration fee.

Book Signings Friday, Saturday, and Sunday

Barnes & Noble Cool Springs will host a book signing for attendees of Killer Nashville 2007 all day Friday.  Landmark Booksellers in downtown Franklin will offer a casual book signing reception Saturday night.  The Marriott Cool Springs & Convention Center will offer book signings all day Saturday and Sunday.  Only Killer Nashville registrants may sign books at these events.  The public is invited for free.  Only books purchased at these venues may be signed.  Signing times and arrangements are at the discretion of both bookseller partners.  For more information, contact usIncluded in registration fee.

Agent & Editor's Breakfast

On Sunday morning, hear what agents and editors really want.  Breakfast and session is included in your registration fee.

Network Gatherings

Times are allotted throughout the weekend for mingling and asking questions of peers, both onsite and offsite.  Included in registration fee.

SEMWA Annual Meeting

The Southeast Mystery Writers of America, the southeast regional division of Mystery Writers of America, is holding its annual membership meeting Friday night.  The event is more socializing than formal.  The event is open to all members of MWA.  Anyone interested in joining MWA/SEMWA or learning more may also attend.

TBI Mock Crime Scene

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation will be hosting a mock crime scene.  This event is for attendees only.  Included in registration fee.

Cocktail Reception

Landmark Booksellers in downtown Franklin, TN is hosting a cocktail hour in honor of attending Killer Nashville 2007 mystery and thriller authors.  All registered attendees are invited to bring one (1) guest.  Included in registration fee.

Networking Lunch

On Saturday, join your fellow authors at the Cool Springs Marriott for a buffet lunch.  Additional $20.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Dinner with Michael Connelly

On Saturday evening, all attendees are invited to have dinner with Killer Nashville 2007 Guest of Honor Michael Connelly at Beethoven's Grille in Franklin, Tennessee.  All registered attendees are invited to bring one (1) guest.
 
  ENTREE CHOICES
Black Angus Prime Rib A 14 oz. 100% Black Angus prime rib.  Served with roasted potatoes and house salad.
Grilled Salmon A 9 oz. grilled salmon filet marinated in pineapple-bourbon marinade.  Served with a vegetable medley and house salad.
Chicken Picatta Chicken medallions pan seared and finished off with a lemon-caper sauce served with orzo pasta and house salad.
Vegetarian Choice An all vegetable choice is available for non-meat-eaters.

Additional $50 for each person attending.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.Cost includes all taxes and gratuities.  Extras and bar fare not covered.

Author Signing Tables

For authors who are not on panels or do not have the opportunity to see their books sold through Barnes & Noble, a signing table is provided for authors to sell copies of books that they may bring to the conference.  Authors are responsible for accepting payment and keeping inventory of all books they bring.  Additional $15 per hour.  No limit on signing times.  Advance sign up required.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.  For information, contact us.

Breakout Q&A Group

Editor Chris Roerden is conducting a group breakout session after the networking lunch Saturday for authors to ask questions about the business and the process of getting published.  Enrollment is limited.  Additional $15.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Fiction Manuscript Critiques

Authors Hallie Ephron, P.J. Parrish, Rhonda Pollero, and freelance editor Chris Roerden are offering fiction manuscript critiques.  First 10 pages only.  Additional $40 per critique.  You may choose the person doing your critique.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Nonfiction Manuscript Critiques

Freelance editor Chris Roerden is offering nonfiction manuscript critiques.  First 10 pages only.  Additional $40 per critique.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Screenplay Manuscript Critiques

Screenwriter and feature & television filmmaker Phillip Lacy is offering screenplay manuscript critiques.  First 10 pages only.  Additional $40 per critique.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Query Letter Critiques

Writer's Digest Books editor Chuck Sambuchino (Guide to Literary Agents and Writer's Market) is offering query letter critiques.  Query letters should be no more than one page.  Additional $40 per critique.  To participate, you must be registered for Killer Nashville 2007.

Merchandise
