Enjoy hors d'oeuvres, local flavor, and live music as you make new connections and catch up with friends. You don’t have to know anyone when you arrive. Just come ready to enjoy the company.

An Evening of Music, Food, and Southern Hospitality

The ’Shine ‘n’ Wine Shindig brings together the best of a lively literary gathering with the warmth of a Southern celebration. Enjoy a buffet featuring delicious hors d'oeuvres served alongside wine and moonshine, with music and inviting ambiance setting the tone for the evening.

Whether you’re sharing a drink, enjoying the food, or simply striking up a conversation, there’s room for everyone to feel at home. All tickets come with two drink tickets. Nonalcoholic options are also welcome as part of the evening’s hospitality.

Some of the most meaningful connections at a writers’ conference happen outside the sessions. The Shindig offers a relaxed setting to meet other attendees, reconnect with conference friends, and begin conversations with authors and publishing professionals.

Open to the Wider Community

You do not need to be registered for the Killer Nashville International Writers’ Conference to attend the ’Shine ‘n’ Wine Shindig. Local readers, writing groups, and friends or family accompanying conference attendees are welcome to join the celebration.

It’s a chance to enjoy an evening with the literary community, even if you’re not attending the full conference.
